Grasland I 2024

project partner: Atelier Embloss

exhibition space: Halt 21/7 at U-Bahnhof Alt Mariendorf

Grasland is a collaborative project by Atelier Embloss, consisting of Ann-Kathrin Hoffmann and Berit Frerick, who create floral installations, and material designer Juni Neyenhuys, who develops circular materials from local raw materials. Algae and grasses, often inconspicuous, are indispensable players in our ecosystems, adapting to various habitats, producing oxygen, and promoting biodiversity. They deserve a stage.

For the installation, the team used seasonally available grasses from the Berlin area. Juni Neyenhuys developed a flexible material from algae and grasses that serves as a vase, while Atelier Embloss transformed the grasses into a vibrant landscape.
